Optimising Breath Training at Gain Fitness
The driving force behind relocating my business to Gain Fitness was my commitment to enhancing the breath training experience for all my clients. Whether it's helping highly stressed professionals, athletes striving for a competitive edge, or individuals seeking better sleep, energy, and focus for a healthier lifestyle, I'm dedicated to providing the very best service available within the industry.
I've wasted no time in diving into action, launching my first 'Breathing for Sports Performance' group training. This innovative 8-week program focuses on enhancing athletic performance, and is the first of its kind in a group setting for me. The feedback from our first session has been overwhelmingly positive, and I'm eagerly anticipating the progress of the group in the weeks to come.
Despite its immense benefits, breathing often remains undervalued. However, awareness of its profound impact is steadily growing. As more individuals experience the life-changing effects of optimising their breathing patterns, this awareness will continue to expand.
One common question I receive is, "How should I be breathing?" Here's a straightforward guide to optimal day to day breathing;
Nasal: At rest, when we sleep, and during low to moderate intensity exercise, use your nose.
Gentle: Try to make each breath so soft it’s barely noticeable.
Slow: Many of us are constantly overbreathing, so slow it down.
Expansive: Focus on 360-degree expansion of your lower ribs.
